Tried rolling back to a previous WHQL driver but it made no difference so re-installed. I have the latest NVidia driver GeForce R331 for 64 bit Windows 8.1 installed. Downloaded the latest IE KB this morning from Windows update. There doesn't seem to be any way to re-install the default apps so any help would be much appreciated.
